First year objectives (Jan 2021-2022)

•Increase the number of BAME People joining the Cadets scheme

•Work with Essex Police to put in place a Junior Cadets scheme

•Increase the number of BAME people interested in and ultimately getting roles in Essex Police

•Work with BAME People to prevent them from entering into crime or becoming victims of crime

•Increase the number of BAME community groups and faith groups who understand how to identify and report Hate Crimes

•Provide a platform for BAME communities to have direct dialogue with Essex Police on Hate Crime in Basildon Borough

At the Stop The Hate conference hosted by Stephen Metcalfe MP.
Dr. Ukpaka, Rev. David, and myself were in attendance.
We had the opportunity to have a conversation with Roger Hurst PFCC, Stephen Metcalfe MP, Cllr. Andrew Baggot-Leader of the council, Cllr. Kevin Blake-Deputy Leader of the council, Cllr. Terri Sargent, and other councillors. Quite an inspirational event and I would love to encourage us all to attend in the future.
